Bruce: You're absolutely right - I forgot about that burnin' Beemer. The same company makes the new Mini which had to be recalled in the UK because.........wait for it.........the gas tank caught fire when being refilled - some bad connection at the tank intake would cause a spark as the nozzle of the pump was inserted and several paople ended up being hurt.

Oh and what about the Audi TT. Due to the cars instability during hard braking at high speads a small lip aerolon had to be added to the boot and I was given the option of retrofittng the ESP system to help keep the car in-line (for this the car had to be sent to Czechoslovakia or rather the Czech Republic as it is known now).

All in all I think Saab have a very good record sheet.
