Problem with "room" in Wagon Linear

Well, my old 900 SPG was (and still is) a bit short of space for our camping trips. 2 persons, with lots of luggages for camping, incluing tent, of course.
And this year, we'll be 3 (we take a friend with us) and since it was time to adopt a new Saab, I thought the Wagon would be more convenient in terms of cargo space and having a 1/3-2/3 rear seat.. well, I have a big problem here I think.
First, let me state that we are 3 guys traveling together for that trip. I am 5'11", 220, one friend is 6'and same size.. and the other one, 6'2" 270..
I have the car for a month, so, today was the first time I tried to colapse the back seats and try transport things with peoples.. gee, I had to finally make that drive alone.. since that with the 2 back seats colapsed, only me could slip between the steering and seat! the front passenger's seat was so up front, only a small child could sit there.. Did I do something wrong?
So, for that future trip, 3 of us with camping material, how are we supposed to arrange the seats? The SPG seemed roomier in comparison..
For now, only solution seems to leave all seats up, and pile up things everywhere..
It's my first real disapointment with this car, (aside having an automatic transmission) But.. is it possible Saab engineers didn't try to use the car in "cargo" mode??
Sylvain
