I have a comparison test between the new 9-5 Aero against the jaguar S-type V6 sport. It says that the new 9-5 has a better chasis with more capabilty between corners and better than the s-type. The saab is a lot faster than the jaguar, but doesn't have the smoothnes of the V6, but this new version is more progressive than the last version of the aero and smoothnes, but is very faster and elastic. It seems that saab would like to do a more comfortable aero, the problem is that the performance are a little worse than the previous version.

Test bench; 2000-2001 Aero// 2002 Aero// 2000 9-3 Viggen
Power; 239bhp at 4640rpm// 234,9bhp at 4730rpm// 242,1 bhp at 5340 rpm
torque; 42,0mkg at 3300rpm// 38,3 mkg at 4030rpm// 39,2mkg at 3200rpm
relation power weight; 6,35kg/bhp// 6,73kg/bhp// 5,9kg/bhp
weight; 1594kg // 1580kg// 1425kg

Performance;2000-2001// 2002 Aero// 9-3 Viggen
0-100km/h; 6,98s// 7,04s// 7,04s
0-1000m; 27,06s// 27,12// 27,4s
0-400m; 15,05s// 15,02s// 15,22s

Overtake;
60-120km/h 3th; 6,5s// unknown// 6,16s
80-120km/h 4th; 5,7s// unknown// 5,4s
80-120km/h 5th; 8,8s// unknown// 9,38s

20-70km/h 2th; unknown// 4,78s// 4,33s
70-120km/h 2th and 3th; unknown// 5,43// 5,48s
20-120km/h 2th and 3th; unknown// 10,21// 9,81s

You can see the 9-5 with 230 bhp is faster than the 2002 Aero, I don't understand it. I will wait a test of the magazine "autopista" that show the 80-120. the test of the 2002 Aero is from a magazine called "automovil" it's the same group of autopista, and many times when you see the same car tested in the two magazine they put the same performance, only change, that one put the 80-120 and the other the 20-70 and 70-120. I have two test of the viggen, and this is the reason I have all the performance of it. If you like I will scan the performance table with the torque an dpower curve. I thought that the new saab will be faster with the new chasis will be able for example to accelerate in 0-100km/h less than 6,7s. It's the car of my live, but i would like the "kick" of a HOT engine!!! :=) I'm a few disappointed,:=(

Bye, BBRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM
