I've just picked up a new 2002 Aero, which I'm really happy with - except from one little detail:

At stand-still, there's a relatively high-pitched whinning noise from somewhere under the car. I

've popped the hood, and it's not from the engine.
I've steadied the exhaust pipe with my hand, its not a vibration in the exhaust system.
It doesn't increase in volume if I rev the engine.
I've turned of the DRL:s (Xenons), without any effect.
It's not there when the ignition is turned on, but the engine is off - the engine must be running.

It's loud enough to (slightly) penetrate into the passenger compartment during slow driving / stand-still, which makes it irritating enough to make me want to do something about it.

My previous '99 didn't have this problem, so I'm sure it shouldn't be this way.

Anyone have any clue what it could be that is causing this??

I want to avoid having the dealer tear around in this otherwise nice vehicle, so I'd like to identify what the problem is before bringing her in.
