It sounds like you are closing your trunk lid after having already armed the alarm on your car. Why do this? YOu might be tripping a motion sensor by the sudden banging shut of your trunk,so why not leave the car UNLOCKED while you are getting things settled in your trunk, then close it, THEN lock the entire car with your remote.
