Our Saab 9-5 ARC Sportkombi, bought in End of November 2001, has had his first problem 4 days after we got it: the EPS was not working properly, electronic error... They changed it, and the car was supposed to be fine.
Then we noticed a annoying noise, which appeared too often, they said it is the Turbo. Last week the engine turned off while driving and the whole car was blocked... Luckily we were not driving fast. Again: no serious problem (that's what they said), only an electronic connection, which was lose... And the 'turbo' noise was a problem with a valve, also corrected. Now we said we want a new car, because it is not normal for a 2 months old car to have so many problems in a row. Especially the turning off of the engine was quite disturbing experience. Saab's point of view: the car has gone through all check-ups now, chief technician guarantees that everything is safe. Should we insist or 'trust' again our 'old' car? Instead they offered 95 Vector for which we would have to pay on top 6000 dollars (whereas 2000 dollars is the difference between ARC and Vector and 4000 is the lost value of the car) ... Any advices or experiences? What should we do? Please reply!
