Well, in addition to your list, there are the belt idler pulleys which are toast after 60k miles, broken fuel return line clips, cylinder head bolts which stretch and need replacement, and cracked fuel tanks in the early '99 models (which Saab has told *three* different clients of mine is "normal wear and tear"!) When the hell was the last time most any vehicle owner on the road took their car in for a new tank because it was worn out?

To me, it is not the problems which the vehicles have because all vehicle have problem which in time get worked out. Such as after you install your new vent control arm, it will never break again since its made of alum. The thing that really erks me is when Saab takes very little care or concern in keeping their clients IN Saabs. If they would at least admit faults,(similar to DIC, but that was for safety) and take a proactive measure for the owner that they do in fact care. Once a person who has a product which is not backed by the manufacture im sure they are MUCH more likely to find an alternative product when it comes time to purchase again. This could be from cars to razor blades to lawn care companies.

I agree that the NG900, OG9-3 and 9-5 models seem to have a running list of problematic items but at the end of the day your better off having the knowledge of all these potential problems so you can be proactive yourself in preventing a bad situation such as being broken down, sluged etc...
