One problem giving advice is when going from from year/model experience applying that to another year/model.
The A/C low pressure port did change location between 2001 and 02 from being almost hidden behind right headlight to becoming visible further up the aluminum pipe on right inner fender.
It should still not be mistaken for the "other" port with the green cap which is only to test the EVAP system, but that system uses rigid plastic pipes so it can't be mistaken for A/C aluminum pipes.
It could also be dangerous when someone tries to DIY stuff without enough knowledge, especially A/C problems.
I don't know the reason since Blake haven't said why he needs to add freon. It could be a "shoot from the hip" approach to solve an A/C problem that turns out to be something completely different problem, and by adding more freon to an already full system would make things a lot worse and could create bodily injury if something blows up.
It's funny how our A/C industry here in CA is heavily regulated and they force you to have a certain set of machines and license to deal with A/C work and then a car owner can go to the nearest Kragen or NAPA and buy as many bottles he want to and cram into the A/C system with no repercussions whatsoever except freeze damages and blindness if something goes wrong.
