PCV #6 Cured Oil Leak!

Following up to a post regarding timing chain issues a few weeks ago, I did the PCV update DIY and what a difference it made! Starting 6 weeks ago, oil would leak after parking overnight - leaving about 3" circles. Now, it's completely dry! Before the PCV, I did try an oil stop-leak product that "renews seals" and after that, oil drips seemed to be reduced, however the PCV did the trick.
Also, I had a "diesel-sounding" rattling noise upon cold-starting coming from what I concluded was probably the timing chain due to sludge. Now that the leak has stopped, the noise also stopped so I'm guessing/wondering if the oil leaked onto the serp belt and maybe caused the belt to slip and the pulley/water pump/etc. to slip/rattle? A subsequent coat-hanger test of the oil pan found it to be perfectly clean, so that also helped me rule out the timing chain issue.
The Indy wanted to pull the engine to do a timing chain/guide change as well as replace the head gasket for $2500. I'm glad I had this board to find the PCV info and give that a try first. Thank you!
