Jan:
While the CPS cable is accessible from above, the actual sensor can only be reached from below. As the WIS says, there is a metal heat shield specifically to protect the CPS from the turbo's radiant heat. That shield is held by the same bolt that secures one point of the turbo support bracket. You cannot possibly get to the CPS w/o removing that shield.
The fasteners have small external Torx heads. I found that either a small metric or inch socket on my 1/4" drive ratchet with extensions and swivel joints etc. allowed me to get things apart and back together (pluss some cussing and muttering). Someday I'll get a set of those external Torx sockets as the Saab engine bay is full of them.
Once you get the small bolt out of the CPS flange, the CPS should come out with a bit of a wiggle. Watch for the O-ring as it is rather thin I believe. I bet the ring was not seated correctly or there was debris in the groove that allows your oil leak. If the O-ring is crushed or distorted, you'll need a fresh one.
I have several bright shop lights and two different inspection mirrors. Lots of light and a look around with the mirrors helps get it clear where things are at AND to make sure the groove around the CPS hole is clean! I also have a solid set of ramps and a crawler which all help in a job like this.
Good luck!
Reg
