The fob has three microswitches. I had one, on which the lock switch stopped working. It didn't matter what strength the battery was...
I managed to get one here on the board, from a guy in Virginia. So now I have three, two that work well, and one that could be used as a back-up.
You may need to reprogram it, if you have another fob, because once you change the battery, the car will recognize it only after you press unlock four times in a row. But you proved with the circuit testing that the switches are inoperative....
