Thanks Goran. Price probably- its a standard kit that costs under £10 from the towing shop rather than Witter. As I said the SAAB loom was 3 X the price.(I did ask!!). Mind you all this fun has kept me out from under my wifes feet for a few hours. Its not a bad way to appreciate how well a SAAB is made..unlike the latest Fords which seem to clip together (once) I found nice nuts and Hex screws holding the trim in..and then the trim is made of something more than a flock sprayed Kellogs box. My car now done 52k miles and is showing no signs of wear..despite 2 kids and holidays by the beach, windsurf gear etc (Boat soon hence the tow kit). Not quite as solid as my Dads 1971 1709 free wheel 99 that started me on SAABs...like most good things they take time to appreciate (or did I mean depreciate?).
Thanks for your help? Out of curiosity, where are you based? Bye for now.
