Which you can probably access from "Alldata DIY". Autozone sells a yearly "membership" to the on-line service for around 25 bucks. The earlier cars had connectors pre-wired, and the harness had separate brake, lights, and turn signal lines dedicated to the trailer. Also a 30 amp fused "always hot" line for powering an electric brake controller and a 10 or 20 amp "keyed" line for other functions. Even if the connector is no longer installed, the dedicated wiring may be in place. You can always splice into existing wires. There's no danger to the car computer - any and all functions controlled by the computer are done using relays, with the computer grounding the relay coil.
