A couple of comments on this post. First, the valve body replacement will completely solve the original poster's problem. I know - I had an '02 Aero auto. Also, I live in Arizona and ran my '02 to 143,000 miles (when it was totaled), and have subsequently run an '08 Aero auto to 37,000 miles. In temperatures up to 115 degrees (fahrenheit), and ascending long interstate grades daily, I can say there is no evidence that these transmissions run hot. My '02's tranny was working as well as new the day of the crash. Lastly, the '02 got only one transmission flush during its six years. In the '02 model year the manual called for no fluid flushes at all - it was assumed the fluid was good for the lifetime of the car, and I tended to believe it. (I was, however, religious about 5K mile oil changes.) A transmission flush of any kind every other oil change is a waste of money (and not particularly good for the environment) unless the car is taking some unthinkably serious abuse.
