What is the fault code? Which sensor depends on the fault codes stored.
Also those cars had issues with the wire harness causing intermittent O2 sensor faults.
Here is the info on the wire harness.
Service and Warranty Reference Library
Date : July 17, 2006
Subject: PIC3745 Intermittent DTCs P0133, P0134, P0138,and P0140 Setting
Models:
1999 - 2005 Saab 9-5 Sedan
1999 - 2005 Saab 9-5 Wagon
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
CONDITION/CONCERN:
A technician may comment there are DTCs p0133, p0134, p0138, and/or p0140. This may be a repeat concern, and oxygen sensors or ECM may have previously been replaced. The concern may be intermittent and the technician may not be able to duplicate the DTC(s) setting.
RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS:
The technician should rebuild junction J16. This junction is located in the main harness approximately 20mm from the cable tie on the ECM connector.
I hope this info is helpful
