Optima Battery Install-should I be concerned? opinions?

My car battery died and I had to replace with no real warning. I got a great deal on an Optima and was pretty pleased until I realized the layout of the positive and negative on the battery was reversed from what I'd had in the car. To get the terminals on their appropriate spots they now had to travel much farther than they did previously.
The negative terminals are OK--they had some slack--but the positive terminals are now very tight. The positive has one large cable which has enough slack on it to reach and then a smaller one that goes to the engine fusebox which is now very taught. It also was previously zip tied to the fusebox along the top edge but I had to cut those ties for it to be able to reach at all. Now the cable is traced lower than it was before. I also reversed the battery mounting tray to give myself a couple more inches. I didn't have to do this, but the thinner positive cable was even more strained without that step.
Here's a photo of the battery as it is installed now:

How concerned should I be about all this? Should I have the positive terminal wire redone as soon as possible? Or is it not a big deal if it is tighter and/or mounted to the top of the fusebox?
Anyone else install an Optima and have similar problems?
