If you want comparative noise info, go to Tire Rack's tire tests. They rate a tire's perceived noise on a scale of 1 to 10.

Generally, a tread with small square blocks will be louder than an angled tread with long, sweeping, uninterrupted blocks like the Dunlop SP9000. Short blocks with edges at 90 degrees to the centerline of the car tend to slap the ground as the tire rolls. The continuous contact of the longer angled blocks helps in this regard. The disadvantage of the long angled blocks is that they can turn under during hard corning, resulting in uneven wear. If you don't push the car hard in the turns that is not really a factor.

Tread noise is only one of many important factors to consider when buying - don't focus exclusively on that.
