Hello, There is a list of usually encountered breaks/fixes posted somewhere on this board under "What-to-look-for-when-buying-a-used-9-5". If anything breaks-fix it. You're not at the brink of a cascade of failing parts. Don't turn a blind eye to maintenance like transmission, brake and power steering fluid flushes. Accessory/timing belts, tensioners and pulleys need to be changed on time. Widgets like the heater control and hooter valves, ignition cassette, air flow stuff (MAP sensor, temp. sensor, ETB cleaning, MAF sensor) will fail episodically. If you haven't changed your vacuume lines yet, start shopping for some good rubber tubing. Puzzelers like a failing ABS controller and drifting gas tank baffle keep us on our toes. Bad mirror and sunroof motors and HID headlight woes are "hangovers for the automotive age". Keeping the gas tank full and turning the A/C compressor off 1 or 2 miles before reaching your destination will help the fuel pump and evaporator last longer. Go for 500,000 miles. Kira
