THanks. I have read most of the posts I believe. I still don't see an explanation of the two cam marks (as seen on your great pictures.
Here is a question. The engine rean fine when I took it apart. I heard the noise in the garage and took it apart.
But when the belt is lined up per your instructions with the double line at 180 on the crank - shouldn't the correct marks on the cams be lined up on the belt lines? Could the cams have slipped? It doesn't seem like the belt is that loose.
And the noise was definitely the tensioner disintegrating.
It is very kind of you to provide such help.
