I had this same problem last month and looked at the J16 junction and didn't see any degradation of it. I had a perfect ohm reading between pin 58 of the ECU connector and the ground on the O2 sensor connector (going through the junction), so there shouldn't have been anything gained from rebuilding the junction on my car. What I did do was to clean all the contacts on the ECU connector and also the O2 sensors with Contact Cleaner. I reassembled everything and the code has not come back in the past 4 weeks.
