I had to replace mine at 50k miles. After disabling the DRLs I now have 135k miles and I may need to replace within the next year since they seem to be dimming and going slightly yellow/purple. At the time I lived in sunny San Diego, but moved to New England where I usually have the lights on during the day in the winter for safety. It seemed to double the lifetime of the bulbs. YMMV. I like to have the option. Plus, if you want DRLs just leave them in On switch.
