OK Anders, what if it doesn't? Not trying to hijack this thread but this is related. I've installed dozens of pcv-6 updates and built a vacuum tester per Chuck Andrews instructions and have had excellent results on all but 1 car. It's a 2000 Gary Fisher wagon. The car runs ok, no symptoms or anything except the vacuum measured on the oil fill is zero. If you blip the throttle, it will go up to 2 and then drops back to zero. My first thought was ring blow by but compression test yields even pressure and no bleed down??? I even replaced the entire pcv update kit and tried a different valve cover. No change. No smoke ever, car has 65K miles and meticulous service. (It's the Boss's). Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Dan at Road Tested Saabs in Indianapolis.
