LesH provided a pretty good answer, but I'll chime in with my experience. I had a 2001 9-5 SE that I owned from 159k to 184k miles. The previous owner had replaced the rear shocks so they were never a problem for me. I had lots of clunking from the front end so I had my swaybar bushings, swaybar links, and control arm bushings replaced around 170k miles. They were all worn and made a slight difference in drivability, and got rid of a lot of clunking. The front struts were just starting to get a little bit mushy when I sold it, but the lady I sold it to was coming from an old Chevy Astro Van. 'Nuff said. At 100k I wouldn't write off your front struts yet. Just do as many of the bushings as you can afford because those are what wear out and get loose. If your rear shocks are original they're quite possibly due though.
