Well, between maintenance and the issue with Saab. Its time to nail down a replacement vehicle. My 00 Aero 5sp with 170k needs to go to a new home.
Reluctantly.
Im tired of the repairs and wondering when the next time I will be left on the side of the road. ( 3 times last year )
Seeing as the annual cost to keep it running is pretty close to that of a car payment, Id rather get something I trust when I leave the driveway.
I could keep it running for a lot longer but Id rather part with it while I still have good thoughts about the car.
Finding a unique and stylish machine is not easy. I, like all of you, will have to compromise sooner or later. I am a button nut, love gauges, switches and lights in the cockpit. The 9-5 was perfect for me !!
It exceeded my expectations in all areas except reliability. Seems everything I look at is by far less of a vehicle than what I have.
Who can boast heated and ventaliated seats.A cooled glove box. All the space inside and the comfort/saftey. Great looking instruments!! Stylish exterior...etc...I feel good sitting in this car.
Best Ive seen so far is the Lexus 250is AWD. Its just small inside, and Japanese.( Boring) For performance, I like the BMW 530xi.Its big, but a fuel hog and the I drive sucks.
Possibly be test driving a 335xi soon. Great driving machine, but again, boring interior. Nothing inspiring about BMW. Forget about Subaru's(boring).
I dont want a rear wheel drive machine due to where I live and where I go in winter.(SNOW)I am limited to whats available in the market.Previously owned machines are on my list as well as new.
I hope I find another machine that makes me feel like the 9-5 does.
By spring I hope to have different wheels under me.
Good luck to all of you in your searches.
