99 9-5 2.3 Sedan. 170K.
Car started leaking over 1/2 quart of oil per day. Oil spatter everywhere on the passenger side. Appeared that the leak was coming from behind the crank pulley.
Replaced the front crank seal. Cleaned the whole area around it. Started the car after putting it back together... Instant oil run from behind the crank pulley.
Took it back apart. Definitely coming from the crank seal. Didn't look to be the oil pump O-ring. Was going to replace the O-ring, but didn't have the right tool for the large snap-ring. The car has not had the PVC mod yet, which I was planning on doing next. Doesn't seem possible that the PVC mod would fix a leak this crazy though?
Any suggestions? HELP! Thank you.
