You may be referring to my mileage post identifying 265,000 miles on original front struts. That part is true, but they will be replaced in the Spring as they are showing evidence of wear.
The other unmentioned contributor of long life for the struts on my car is my type of driving. My daily commute is 100 miles in length, almost all expressway, the roads are in good condition, and since I am driving a repetitive route I have learned to avoid the worst ruts and holes.
Rear shocks have been replaced at 100K intervals, but the front struts are longer lived that the rear shocks.
