I've never experienced a DIC on the way out. I only see them when they are all the way out. If you can find someone with a tech2 it would help. You can look at the total fuel trim (rich/lean) and the mass air flow deviation (the difference between the mass air flow sensor reading and the speed density calculation). Tech2 with SAAB software was designed with finding just this sort of answer in mind. It can confirm or refute that the problem is engine related. Then you can go looking for sticking brake cables, etc.
