CEL & LHM after new battery

I have a 2001 9-5 Aero 5 speed with 91,000 miles. My 5 year old battery was starting to go - I needed to jump start the car after a few extra cold days up here in Western New York - it was totally dead. Besides the dying battery the car has been flawless - never any issues at all. Last week I took the car in to get a new battery and new brakes. After this I started to notice a slight hesitation for about 1 or 2 seconds as the car warmed up from a cold start. This morning during that hesitation the car went into limp home mode and I got a CEL. Very similar symptoms to when my throttle body went bad on my old 1995 9000 aero. Could it be that it is just coincidental that my current throttle body decided to call it quits at the same time as my battery, or is it possible that my dying battery damaged another component or maybe threw off some sensors that need to be re-set? Anybody have any thoughts?
Thanks, Tim
