Looks like you are on the bell housing side with a leak.
It is a plethora of hoses, fittings, housings and oil pump cover above in that area.
Just about impossible to say which one of the multitude sources it could be.
Rounding off a oil drain plug is user error only. No need to ever having to replace the plug when it is tightened properly and proper tools and technique used. Six sided socket and a swivel ratchet are good tools since you can swivel the handle in line under the plug and avoid side slippage.
When cars like that comes in, I use my air hammer and a point chisel and give it a light whack to turn it loose. It's really difficult to get a good grip on it with pliers and such or even using a chisel and hammer.
