I installed this and love it. There are 2 knurled screws that screw into brackets that friction install on each side of hood. There are 2 adhesive stips that go on hood to protect it before the 2 brackets are installed. Under hood the protector supplies white ( I Think) plastic inserts that fit into predrilled holes in the hood that you then screw the inside edge of the protector into. That said, those inserts never held for me and for the last 2 years, the knurled screws have held everything fine
