Rob, did the fob get wet with sea water? If so try rinsing it it fresh, distilled is best, water then drying. A second rinse in pure alcohol,available at drug stores, will speed up air drying at room temp. Remove battery first. The residue from salt water can cause electrical shorts.Ultrasonic cleaners work really well and can sometimes be found at jewelery shops and electron repair shops. Hope things work out well for you.
