This issue has been perplexing me as well on 2004 Aero with manual. I just jumped the clutch switch as that seemed to be a least part of the problem. However it only somehwat reduced the no crank problem. Sometimes numerous attempts with the key and no reaction from starter solenoid, then it will start. Less of a problem when car is warmed up, but can still happen.
Dag, your experience seems to indicate that it is NOT the ign switch, so what else is in the circuit that can add to this problem. Anybody able to post a scan from WIS of the this part of the circuit, that is from key to solenoid.
Thanks
Bill
