I have ceramics on all my cars...akebono from Tire Rack presently on my 2001 lpt wagon... now with over 160,000 miles...and NEVER EVER have I needed to "warm them up" when driving.
Caliper thoroughly cleaned before new pads installed?...lubed the pins ever so lightly?...wire brushed off the old corrosion BEFORE mounting pads, lubed the sliding area?
SAAB ceramic pads do NOT need warm-up time. Absolutely not!
