Brake job done... lifespan,

Replaced front and rear rotors and pads this weekend on my '01 wagon.
The original Saab rotors and pads lasted 100k km/60k miles.
At 100k, I replaced them with generic (locally available) front rotors, Zimmerman rear rotors, Saab rear pads, Wagner front pads.
(In contrast, the original brakes on my '05 Aero are about half done at 100k km).
At 220k, the rears were worn to the metal, the Wagner fronts were about half worn. But I was never happy with the stoppage from the Wagners, they were silent and dust free but didn't do well stopping.
This time I used the same local front rotors, Brembo rear rotors, and Akebono Euro pads all around. Rears took about two hours, fronts about an hour. Parking brake shoes needed lots of adjusting...
After a proper bed-in the car stops great - pedal is higher and less effort is required. I like these pads.
I noticed that I need one front sway bar link. They are Scantech parts that were installed at 100k km - so their lifespan is about the same as the factory items (they DO look identical). I will try the greasable Moog ones this time.
