CE Light Boffins Needed

'05 Aero auto. CE light. While checking things out without a code (looking at an Equus 3130 reader, anybody use this?) found that the hose going from the oil trap to the turbo intake is just press fit in with a plastic fitting. It was loose, I pushed it all the way in and secured it with a cable tie, we will see. My '02 Aero manual has a similar hose but it's connected using a banjo bolt fitting. Looks like a secure connection is needed and GM cheaped out in later cars. Anyone run into this or how to actually remove the hose wothout breaking the red plastic fitting? Thanks you.
