Yes, with the belt off the tensioner is up all the way and resting on the idler pulley. Does this automatically mean the tensioner is bad? Or is that were it would rest if the belt came off and it wasn't held in place with the pin?
I'm just trying to bandaid the car for a week or two while the other 9-5 gets the turbo reuilt. Might as well try to compress the tensioner and put the belt on. Might just work.
