I'm not thomas but our MY 2k aero idles a little higher when really cold (not sure as to the exact number off hand) and our TT runs at about what your aero runs at, also the turbo (so it sounds like) makes a slight whine for about a minute, and then it stops, all of which we are told is normal. The idle is kinda fun to play with as we can run up to third gear easily without pressing on the gas at all. I also do agree that the auto lurch CAN be a bit of an irritant, but not enough for me to complain about it.
