I once put an 84 inch long piece of laminated kitchen countertop in my C900 hatch. Guys at the countertop factory were stunned that it fit, windshield to end of the trunk with the passenger seat back and rear seat down. Still had my golf clubs in there too.
C900 rescued my folks at the airport returning from Ireland when their limo didn't show. Two weeks of luggage for two people. Put the hatch cover on the floor and stacked everything to the roof. Nothing but Dad on the rear seat. Oh, and the clubs were still in there.
Fit a Bultaco Metralla motorcycle (52 inch wheelbase) with wheels on its side into my 97 9000 with the rear seat down, with room to spare. Clubs stayed home on this one.
Fit four 17 inch wheels with tires for my Viggen in the trunk in the 9000 with the rear seat UP.No clubs, though, but they might have fit.
Two big screen TVs (separate trips) in the 9-5, a 32 in across the rear seat and a 42 inch in the back, seat down.
Various Home Despot trips with toilets and boxes of flooring and stuff fitting in with no problems.
It's the space shuttle of cars. (Nice idea for a commercial? SAAB goes up to resupply the space station?)
