in "FIXMYSAAB" shows as a hex head cap screw, but on mine seems to be an 8mm hex socket bolt. (2003 wagon). Am I looking in the wrong place? It's tight and seems like it would be easy to strip it. Any tips on attacking it?
I have 3/8 drive hex key sockets (8mm inc) on hand Use a pipe on the 3/8 ratchet?
What I'm after is getting the ruined bracket out to replace it. Once the top alternator bolt is out and the bottom one loose, will the generator roll back enough to access the two bottom bolts holding that bracket in? Or must the alternator be taken off and dropped down some to do that?
