i own a 2000 aero which is great and i think the best one ever made by saab

also a 2007 which is not up to the 2000. i returned it .

and now i was thinking of going for the 2011 and.9.5 ..........

too big

poor visibility

way overpriced ..........at $55,000 ,even discounted as offered at $44,000 too high given the following ........

the same exact car can be had for around $ 34,000 with a buick regal label.

so what gives
after driving the opel insignia in europe many times ,i have sort of grown to like this car but its constant breakdowns ,well documented in the german press have put me off on it.

now assuming all of the reliability problems have been fixed ,maybe the saab may turn out to be o.k. and so the buick regal.

but in the process of shopping for a car i wandered into a jaguar showroom to look at the new xj but next to it on the side display was a nissan maxima 3.5 fully equipped for $40,000.

i drove them all incl. the new s class and e class and beemer 7 and guess what .............the maxima is a winner and discounted to $ 36,000 it stands better than the others i test drove

is it a sports car 4 doors as described ...no but it comes close and drives even better than my aero 2000 and therefore it now sits next to my aero and porsche and fx 35.

what a shame that saab just cannot get its act together..maybe in afew years they will do so ,i hope becasue i really like them.
