This new wagon I'm buying is to be my SUV (like 95% of other SUV's, won't go off road). The 2000 lb towing capacity might be utilized with small trailer towing leaves in Fall to compost site, mulch in Spring, etc.
I know that typically, automatics do better than manuals with towing duties. My towing will be infrequent, and of short trips. Wondering how others have faired with towing. And yes, I realize that brakes will wear quicker :)
I'm just still wrestling with manual vs. auto. Have driven new auto, big improvement over Sequential SportShift's normal operation in my Prelude. Previous Prelude was a manual, I vowed next car would be also. Unfortunately, local SAAB dealer has no manuals (not even 9-3's), probably won't be getting any 9-5 manuals unless customer order. Dealer 100 miles away has some, hasn't been real responsive with me for test drive, (understandably).
thanks
Ed
