I had a discussion on that topic yesterday with the tech at my local Saab dealer. The car's been creaking for a while now when moving forward from a stop, and we figured out that it's the rear RH subframe bushing that's the culprit.
I'm guessing that it'd be another hour of time plus the R&R of the subframe/drivetrain, so maybe 8-10 hours of real time?
Looking at it from underneath the car, I suppose one could drop the subframe down a bit, but there's still the challenge of pressing it out.
I couldn't hear it squeak from outside the car when the tech took it for a post-oil change test drive. Had I thought of having the subframe bushings addressed while the drivetrain was out a year ago for a clutch and checking the engine over, I'm sure it would have been much cheaper/easier than addressing it at this time. I'm choosing to live with it for now.
