You mentioned fire wall but if it is more up front on right side it could very well be the water pump.
If the water pump bearing goes bad and start to make noise, fix it right away to avoid expensive repairs since the water pump pulley cuts a hole in the timing cover.
The strut ring I'm not sure about but maybe it is some kind of reinforcement ring around the bump stop rubber cushion and if so, it doesn't play that big of a role.
