Brake Diagnosis Help Posted by Nathan [Email] (#2249) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nathan) on Fri, 18 Feb 2011 03:57:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 2001 9-5 with an interesting proplem which started recently. On some (but not all) mornings, when I start the car and back up, the brakes engage temporarily- it feels like I am driving over a chunk of snow. Then they release. After this, the pedal is squishy for a single push and then firms up. Sometimes I get the pedal squishiness without the brakes temporarily engaging, but not the other way around. I changed the master cylinder and flushed/ bled the brake fluid, and that did not seem to help. The pads all look fine and the calipers seem to be working appropriately. Any thoughts?
