We had 2 9-5 wagons and managed with 3 kids. (same ages 5,3 and 6 months) we had 2 combinations of car seats Britax marathon in the middle and 2 boosters on the sides (britax parkways). In my car I had the sunshine radian in the middle with 2 Recaro boosters. The britax had more room to get my hand down to buckle the kids in.
But..The kids kept getting older and
It made me tired loading and unloading everyone form the car. We recently got rid of one of the wagons for a Land Rover LR3 with 3 rows and it is just about perfect. All thre kids can't touch each other. As much as I love my 04 Aero Wagon, for a family of 5 Now (8, 6 and 3, nothing beats 3 rows. Also we looked at the mazda 5, but I found it too underpowered up in Colorado.
