How do you know? How old is the battery?

OTOH, you COULD just have a bad ground connection, so check that first, and also the positive cable to the starter. Is either cable corroded? That caused a non-start on my old C900.

But batteries can die very suddenly. My wife's '03 died in the driveway, and all turning the key did was get a few clicks. The car had been fine earlier in the day with no warning lights on the dash about the battery/charging system. The battery could light up the dash lights but it wasn't holding a charge at all. Same with daughter's '99 9-3. Went out to fire it up and got nothing but a couple of clicks. New batteries fixed each car.
