It does sound like the CPS yes. No start when hot is suppose to be a classic case of the CPS.

I just went through this, except I had the fuel pump replaced and still had
issues starting when cold and sometimes when hot. Did not always happen when hot if at all.

I read it here on Saabnet (saabnet rocks!);
- I brought a new CPS...checked the ohms across pins 1 and 2 and read .8 to .9 ohms.

- I checked pins 1 and 2 (ones closest to battery side)on the blue CPS
connector in the car.(This is the 1st connector on top of the engine).
It read .. no ohms...an open circuit!

- Replaced CPS. I actually went in from the bottom of the car. Its down
near the bottom front of the engine by the oxygen sensor and exhaust.

Car has been starting fine since. Many thanks to the kind Saabnet folks.
