Have replaced several engines with failed center main brgs. because sludge clogged the oil pickup screen. Remove subframe and drop complete engine/trans asm. Engines from 04 on do not have sludge but breather system is different, easiest to use 04 up throttle body. Rather expensive for a 00 yr, 1k to 1.5k. Worth it if you keep the car since all other concerns are minor.
