OK,at the risk of sounding really repetitive I thought it might be useful to group together the experiences those of us who have swapped out the OEM Michelins for something else - what are you running now - make, size, speed rating - and how do they compare?

After about 40K miles I dumped the Michelins - too loud and with lousy traction - for a set of Yokohama AVS DBs (225/50/16) which were great for a while but wore unevenly - inside rear - and I'm now shopping around for replacements. Many others have reported the same problem with wear but I don't believe we've been able to isolate the cause - soft suspension on the 1999's, directional tread, z speed ratings, plus zero sizing (22/50/16) - all or some of the above.

I'm now looking at the new Bridgestone Turanza LH - pricey for the V-rated 225s @ $154 from Tirerack, or the Dunlop SP 5000s, at a more reasonable $105 a piece. Please weigh in on your experiences and opinions.
