Fuel Injectors Life Span - Long Posted by Pete [Email] (#2000) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Pete) on Wed, 19 Oct 2011 07:31:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Greetings,
I was curious as how long of a long expectancy of these injectors? My 2002 Linear w/131K miles just had a new water pump, and a new fuel pump replaced recently, so I just have to wondered what else is next. The 9-5 does get daily routine maintenance such as oil changes, air filter, fuel filter, and plugs. I flushed the tranny fluid once a year with Mobil 3309 fluid. I often used Chevron concentrated fuel injector cleaner. I used only 87 octane, but only at for more well known gas stations...
The 9-5 runs and drives great especially with new tires and a wheel alignment done recently.
Oh, the turbo, DIC, and the CPS were replaced 4 years or so. The Interstate battery was replaced 2 years ago.
I love the fact that I have a nice looking and driving car without car payments.. I can easily past cars on the freeways as needed without much effort... What more do I want? I want this car to last for a few more years, so what else I can do to keep my 9-5 on the road longer?
Thanks and happy that I found this great website!!
Pete
